The interior style preference of the clients is American style.As the family has lived in America for a long time , they did not want to lose that familiar home feeling they had grown used to in America.
The interior style preference of the clients is American style. However, they do not want to overuse cornices in the space. We decided to choose the main style of the interior to be in an American style, but mixed with a modern look for their new apartment. To make it more simple and casual but still having that elegant feel and atmosphere.
The space which the hospitality family cares for most was the dining room. By arranging the dining table and the island on the same axis, showing the extensity of this space and also providing smooth circulation.
Considering the clients like to collect and change furniture and artworks. The designer took an art painting as the inspiration. Through selected furniture and their lifestyle within the room, the clients are able to create a ‘work of art’ of their own. Therefore, keeping the space simple but able to adapt to different styles was the key.
Designer uses the same tone but different materials with each other to add a sense of spatial hierarchy. For example, white wall tile collage, silver fox marble, titanium plated iron and gray PANDOMO floor are consistent with the main gray and white tones in the space. It creates a cool colour tone of pure and quiet temperament. In addition, the continuation part of the design vocabulary with a variety of techniques to use the same material showing spatial coherence. The application of silver fox marble is a good example. Finally, for such a simple space to inject personality details. Designer chooses imported copper gold handle and other gold hardware accessories to match each other. The luster of copper texture stand out against the unique artistic temperament of the space and bring out the crucial point.
The large use of white and gray paints, mixed with a main pastel green color and gold hardware accessories, add more unique personality and a warm feeling into this space. The whole space shows the co-operation and cohesion between different materials and chosen furniture.

It create a simple and unique American atmosphere.
