Kaynemaile isn’t just a manufacturer; we work collaboratively with architects, designers and artists around the world. At the Playa Vista development in Los Angeles we collaborated with American artist Ned Kahn and the project architects Johnson Fain on a unique kinetic installation.
Situated at the heart of the Playa Vista development this 98 feet tall kinetic installation winds itself around the parking garage façade—helping to connect the streetscape to the surrounding buildings.
The kinetic installation is named Enagua after the Latin-American garment which gives volume and fullness underneath a dress. The installation takes advantage of a wind channel from the nearby Pacific Ocean that keeps the Kaynemaile Armour mesh rippling like billowing fabric.
