Kinetic Façade

This is the first kinetic façade done with the new constructive patented system designed by Denvelops.For this project, we have choose stainless ASI316 material for the Lines and the Connectors, and to fabricate the tiles we have choose HPL wooden tiles, in black finish.All the tiles are kinetic, and the choosed pattern demostrates that the wefts are made cell by cel and don't have to be continuos. Besides, taking in account, that every thing has been done with parametric machines, the personalition of this new constructive system is unknown right now.Denvelops systems allows to use all kind of materials and tiles or bricks forms. The project was developed for the needs of ATÖLYE after observing that the workspace needed a low-power, minimalist desk lighting unit. After researching the market, it was evident that there were either low-quality local options with limited range of use, or expensive import options that could not be used at scale. As a result, a collaborative design process started between ATÖLYE’s core team and Buşra Tunç.Early on in the process, ATOLYE’s members were engaged in the brainstorming and ideation phases. Enagua at Playa Vista, Los Angeles

Kaynemaile isn’t just a manufacturer; we work collaboratively with architects, designers and artists around the world. At the Playa Vista development in Los Angeles we collaborated with American artist Ned Kahn and the project architects Johnson Fain on a unique kinetic installation.Situated at the heart of the Playa Vista development this 98 feet tall kinetic installation winds itself around the parking garage façade—helping to connect the streetscape to the surrounding buildings. The kinetic installation is named Enagua after the Latin-American garment which gives volume and fullness underneath a dress.
