The new extension and renovation project of the Hotel Du Lac in Limone sul Garda, carried out by the Verona-based studio, 41 Interior & Design, involved a master suite and 14 suites between the ground and first floors. Dominated by the relationship with the light and colours of the hotel’s location, the project succeeds through the details of its bespoke furnishings and its finishes. It makes wide use of ceramics: porcelain stoneware on the floors – the wood-effect Marazzi Vero 22x180 cm and Grande Concrete Look 120x120 cm inside and concrete-effect Powder Smoke 60x60 cm for the outside - to create variation and tactile effects; extra-large slabs on the walls (Grande Marble Look 120x240 cm in the two finishes Imperiale and Saint Laurent and Alchimia 60x180 cm in the white, pink version in the floral Gipsy decor and in the Raw structure) alternating with the vibrancy of the small sizes of Crogiolo Lume Blue. The large slabs of the Marble Look collection were also used to tile the bathroom tops, in continuity with the walls.
The design for the Hotel Du Lac & Wellness Harmony in Limone sul Garda involved the expansion of a Master Suite and 14 Luxury Suites and innovative interior decoration solutions.
The hotel’s unique situation, directly overlooking the lake shore, nestled in a large, leafy park, and completed with a deluxe Spa, prompted the choice of decorative themes linked to the world of water and of nature. Designs evoking the sea bed and fluid forms such as Nautilus, floral-inspired wallpapers in delicate shades and lines such as Momentum and Agio, were selected to distinguish the suites.
The strong point of the interior decoration’s design was the creation of interesting solutions for visual continuity between the bedroom and the bathroom, owing to the clever use of different coverings for different uses, connected through the presence of a single decorative theme. The impression of a single, uninterrupted space is amplified by the continuum between the bedroom walls, covered with GlamDecor wallpaper, and those in the bathroom, where GlamFusion was used for its unique characteristics, ideal for wet environments. Two products, different in structure and technical characteristics, yet complementary in the development of an aesthetically and functionally successful project.
