Designing a CO2-neutral hotel, on an inland plot but with views on the pacific ocean, requires a thorough and rigorous study of the climate conditions of the site. The dense tropical rainforest, on a hill almost 200m above sea-level, creates a micro climate in which through architecture and geometry, full-passive climatization is possible and air-condition will be unnecessary. This natural comfort means luxury on a climate-level.
As far as water recycling, LED illumination and bio-mass energy are concerned, all these together, in a coherent and realistic overall design, will guarantee the 0 CO2 impact of the complex.
Privacy is luxury. The position of the lodges on the hill, their un-obstructed views and the distance between them make that the clients will experience fully the abundant vegetation that surrounds them, hearing only the animals of the forest.
