Hatteland Technology - Aksdal

Aksdalbygget (Aksdal Building), is the new exclusive headquarter for Hatteland on the west coast of Norway. It is a building with very high environmental credentials. The building encorporates significant energy saving systems and creates a low carbon footprint. To achieve this goal Aluinvent was the natural decision as a facade material to adorn this building. Aluinvent ZRT Aluinvent ZRT Collaboration with our local partner RA Aluminium and the architects at Holon, allowed them further developed the Aluinvent concept to include rib elements specially shaped for the building. The rib elements allow for the play of light in as the sun tracks east to west across the sky in this open harsh landscape. Aluinvent ZRT For the corn... More

RC Crystal Park Tower

The concept of the Crystal Park Tower residential complex project is a combination of quiet nature and residential buildings near the park named after Pushkin in the center of the capital. Therefore, our task was to emphasize with light the natural component inside the residential complex, which makes it one whole with the surrounding park environment. We avoided excessive daylight, which contributes to the light pollution of the domain. At the same time, the warm tones of the lighting are selected in such a way that the building fits into the warm tones of the surrounding nature. Expolight Expolight Accent light reveals the corners of the building and makes it recognizable in the city panorama. We decided not to flood the entire... More

BORA wing

High-rise office buildings from the 1950s to 70s which show their age and attrition are ordinarily viewed as “sorespots” nowadays, i.e. something which ought to be torn down. But demolition and subsequent new construction are not a  sustainable solution, since they demand an enormous wastage of resources. Willi Bruckbauer didn’t just invent the well known BORA ceramic glass cooktop flue himself, complete with imperceptible ventilation of cooking fumes, but also  acquired this office complex destined for demolition and sponsored a competition which Lorenzateliers then won. Criteria for this distinction were: substantiality, sustainability and feasibility. And above all else, the new architecture needed to correspo... More

Light Atelier

VIVIENDA PV1

Located between party walls in the old town of Catarroja, this three-level single-family home was born with the need to cover two premises that will mark the strategy of this project: on the one hand, to create a visual barrier on the façade to safeguard the views of the neighbours, given the narrowness of the street and, on the other, to organize the space in a studied way to provide ventilation and natural light to all the rooms of the house and, thus, help the bioclimatic contribution. María Mira After the first visit and subsequent analysis of the environment, a new conditioning factor would emerge, to provide dynamism and attractiveness to an environment of old and neutral buildings. To do this, the main facade is d... More

Budapest underground - sound absorbing walls

Aluinvent's LO2 (two side open) panels were applied to the entire legth of the platforms at Corvin-Negyed Station in Budapest, a length of 125m on both sides. The panels serve a dual purpose, both aesthetic and functional, providing a unique decorative element and also functioning as part of a noise reduction system to make the station as silent as possible.  Aluinvent Prior to construction lab tests were conducted to establish the sound dampening properties of the panels. Tests showed the panels were twice as effective at reducing sound than originally required by the client. Aluinvent Aluinvent panels are made from 90% recycled materials in a manufacturing facility run entirely by renewable energy which helped the project... More

Housing Celovska 175

The residential building Celovška 175 is located in Šiška, in an area where multi-apartment typology predominates in the north and south, and single-apartment construction predominates in the east. Caption Therefore, one of the goals in the design was the fact of how to place an object in the space that will connect the wider area. At the same time, we were aware that the building will co-create a new image along Celovška cesta. Despite the simple and logical design of the building, we wanted above all to surpass the existing construction in terms of design. Caption We designed four typical residential floors, which we arranged "randomly" vertically, around a central communication core. Following the... More

Liverpool La Perla Facade

The project is located in the La Perla Shopping Center District, in the City of Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. It is an exercise in urban integration that combines modernity through architecture and tradition in the activities of the community in Jalisco. Caption The facade converges at a vertex that forms the union of two avenues, it is formed by a grid of triangular modules with flat pieces and in low relief, forming a subtracted pyramid, which when rotated allows multiple variables, and when combined it manages to transmit the sensation of movement. The texture rotates along the walls of the façade, which points and accentuates the main access to the store. In addition to the set of reliefs, the same geometry has been transferred... More

Wohnhaus Erhardtstraße

The special location of the narrow and at the same time deep building site directly at the rushing Isar, flanked by listed buildings, the German Museum vis-a-vis and the Gärtnerplatz with its virulent hustle and bustle in the back, offered ample reason to deal in detail with the proud Munich cityscape. The aim was to complement the historic boulevard with a pleasantly integrated, elegant and at the same time identity-creating residential building as a city building block. The design elements of the neighboring historic facades with their heterogeneous structures were taken up in scale and translated into contemporary material and design. © Philipp Obkircher The high craftsmanship of the facade design forms the prelude to a b...
