Casa Pastina is a turnkey renovation that has revolutionized the spaces of a traditional apartment in Rome, a few steps from St. Peter's. The name Pastina takes its name from the mixtures produced by grinding marble fragments mixed with hydraulic binders and colored oxides, used to lay artisan flooring typical of the 50s-60s that in this project we wanted to recover in combination with an iconic product from the 90s – linoleum – made, today, in a green key.
The latter design and delimits, with sinuous and colored lines, the areas of influence of specific rooms in the house such as the space between the dining area and the kitchen, the area around the bed in the master bedroom and the space that delimits the study area from the rest of the room space. The living area is organized around the development of an equipped piece of furniture which defines its main functions: bookcase, walk-in closet and closet.
The use of color is never casual, but designed to give rhythm to the rooms and enhance the atmospheres contained in them also thanks to the choice of works of art and iconic pieces of contemporary design. The outdoor space is transformed into a small domestic oasis equipped with every comfort in which to experience moments of conviviality and relaxation immersed in the greenery of your own garden.
