Underground car parks can be architecturally confusing and do not offer a lot of free space. Darkness and missing guidance systems are reasons which lead to bad orientation for non-local drivers and increase the risk of accidents.
The parking lot of some casino in Switzerland is well lit with Flexglo™ F15 LED lights. Unlike other spacious parking venues, this one is characterized by a shorter than normal height and a unique layout. To make the walls look longer than they appear, all the lights are installed vertically with a certain spacing. The designer went through many mockups and tests to get the best spacing between all the luminaires. This ingenious design not only enhances the aesthetics of the area, but also mitigates the anxious feeling of being in a confined space for those inside the vehicle. Needless to say, the result proves stunning both functionally and visually.
