Épice Bosques Restaurant

PASQUINEL Studio as Architects

Épice Bistro Restaurant is located in one of the main areas of Mexico City; Bosques de las Lomas, inside Plaza La Noria, where the shops inside are of a select and sober character.

The architectural program comprised of the kitchen, the guest toilets, bakery area, main hall and terrace are delimited by a corridor that connects to the interior of the square. The visual appeal is taken by the great hall and its marble bar, being the most important public areas.

Épice is a local restaurant and a landmark for any member of the Bosques de las Lomas community, the goal is to be able to serve diners what they need to feel at ease. Épice is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal, excellent treatment and your best company in a safe, intimate and cozy space combining simplicity and neatness in terms of the chromatic characteristics of its finishes from the purity of polished white marble, wood white cardeada of its furniture, the connection with nature by combining the vegetation that abounds in the area taking it to the interior of its spaces, highlighting details such as the artisan mosaic that covers floors and some walls of the premises generating a sense of spaciousness through golden mirrors that They cover slender columns in the coffee bar area and a more intimate space that is obtained from booths and marble tables.

The operation consists of the user taking a visual tour, locating the different areas such as the coffee bar on the front, in order to receive the users by means of visual finishes in warm colors and a golden color sign that complements the dyes that the marble gives the front bar, this element works in turn as an exhibition of products handled in the restaurant, a variety of breads and drinks, the mantel adorned with golden mirrors inside the diner lounge over the coffee bar, reflects the hanging vegetation of the space combined with spheres of illumination that are repeated through the reflection in the golden mirror, just like the decorative objects placed on the same shelf. The communion of the main hall with the exterior is generated thanks to the natural lighting that allows the transparency of the ceiling obtaining the sensation of warmth during the stay. There is an outdoor area that functions as a terrace, which is divided by generous glazing throughout the area.
