Located in a stunning bavarian countryside where gentle hills shape the landscape around Lake Starnberg, this private residence refers to the traditional building typologies in Bavaria. The building features a central, spacious piece of furniture mediating between servant spaces in the north and the spacious living rooms in the south.The shelf crosses the building at its full height and extends over the entire length of the floor plan and acts as a structural and spatial element along the central axis. Skylights to the north allow natural daylight penetrate the entire volume and merge into light-flooded rooms in the south, where they blur the boundaries of inside and outside.
