Transforming Karachi's Transit Landscape: COOOP's Red Line Initiative

Introducing the Red Line project by COOOP Designed, a transformative urban mass transit initiative located in Karachi, Pakistan. With a project cost of PKR 97 billion and commissioned by TransKarachi, the Government of Pakistan, this ambitious endeavour aims to revolutionize commuting in the city by providing a reliable, safe, affordable, high-quality, and fast Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service. 


COOOP Designed is committed to ensuring the success of the Red Line project through a comprehensive range of services. From project management to data validation, the team meticulously oversees every aspect of the project's implementation. This includes the review of studies, surveys, and reports to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with project objectives.


Furthermore, COOOP Designed conducts an extensive design review process to optimize the functionality and efficiency of the BRT system. This includes the review of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), contract documents, and technical specifications to guarantee adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.


Throughout the construction phase, COOOP Designed provides diligent supervision to ensure that the project is executed according to plan and meets the highest standards of quality and safety. By prioritizing Design for Behaviour principles, the Red Line project aims to not only enhance the efficiency of urban transit but also improve the overall quality of life for commuters in Karachi.


Through its holistic approach and commitment to excellence, COOOP Designed is poised to redefine urban transportation in Karachi, setting a new standard for reliability, safety, and accessibility in public transit systems.
