New Image for Regma, Santander
Regma, the iconic Cantabrian ice cream shop founded in 1933, entrusted us with the design of its new store on Calle Burgos in Santander. This space seeks to complement the brand’s ongoing visual and graphic rebranding with a fresh identity.
Our aim was to translate Regma’s most representative values into the design of the shop in a tangible yet subtle way, avoiding overt or literal references.
Concept and Identity
Regma is a well-known name to us, being a reference point in northern Spain. The brand emphasized that its core identity lies in the natural quality of its ingredients and a color palette that steers away from artificiality.
These elements, along with a geometric abstraction inspired by the imagery of ice cream, form the foundation of our project.
To give shape to this concept, we structured the design around a key geometric figure: a rotated square, or “diamond.” This form is consistently applied across ceilings, floors, and the façade, generating a unique visual identity throughout the space.
Material and Texture Selection
The materiality of the interior draws inspiration from the most representative colors and textures of Regma’s ice creams, reinterpreted through noble and natural materials such as travertine marble, oak, and clay-based paint.
This trio is complemented by stainless steel—an essential element in cold storage—integrated to maintain a link with the tradition of ice cream making.
The result is a space that immerses the customer in Regma’s world in an abstract and subliminal way. Through the use of colors, textures, and geometries inspired by the product and the brand’s heritage, we create a sensory experience that reinforces Regma’s identity and its evolution.
