The commission was requested by a couple with a high profile on social media, and the site for its construction was a sunny plot overlooking an artificial lake with four willows along the shore, located in a private neighbourhood in the suburban area of Greater Buenos Aires.

Upon arrival from the street, the sole access point, a tectonic object is perceived, resulting from operations of clean and abstract prisms, not recognisable with the scales of domestic typologies commonly used in the area. A priori, an impenetrable intimacy. Intimacy is not merely a private space or a personal secret, but an effect of language that presupposes an implicit community. This signifies that intimacy cannot exist without interaction with others, and it is found at the boundary between the public and the private.

After passing through the only free space between the two prisms, the illumination of intimacy is represented in the courtyard. It is revealed and constructed through the interaction between the private and the public. This public space might be a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, 'the quincho' (an outdoor barbecue and social pavilion for cooking and eating barbecues) or all at once. Its purpose is to share. Sharing does not destroy intimacy, but rather can be a way of constructing and enriching it. However, a warning is issued regarding the risks of trivialising intimacy by exposing it excessively, as occurs in contemporary society with overexposure on social media and in communication channels. The openings towards an artificial lake are necessary and deliberately controlled, with the four willows on the lake's edge serving as natural custodians of the sculpted intimacy.
