MULTI is the world’s first rope-less elevator for high-rise buildings that can move sideways, featuring the use of magnetic levitation technology in the linear motor drives. Due to the rope-less construction, several elevator cabins can operate in a single shaft, increasing the transport capacity by up to 50% and simultaneously reducing the space requirement of the elevator shaft in the building by half. Since MULTI elevators can move sideways and without any height limitations, this innovative new system opens up unprecedented possibilities in the architecture and design of buildings.
