Lunawood Thermowood battens are a durable and dimensionally stable choice for facades, interiors and various outdoor structures. Multi-purpose battens are a viable choice, when a contemporary and a sharp wooden facade is desired for the building.
By combining profiles of different sizes, completely unique wooden surfaces can be achieved. Lunawood battens are also an excellent and more importantly ecological way of cooling buildings and not having to consume extra energy. Also, due to Lunawood’s dimensional stability and light-weight, Lunawood battens can be used in mobile sunscreen systems with opening and closing mechanisms. Because the battens are resin-free, they are also well suited for sauna and spa facilities to bring a natural atmosphere.
Lunawood’s Thermowood battens are produced by using only heat and steam from the best PEFC-certified Nordic pine. The battens will turn gray over time if the surface is left untreated when used outdoors. All Lunawood products can be treated with various surface treatments and paints suitable for Thermowood, if desired.
