The XS4 One electronic escutcheon combines proven robustness, latest technologies and elegant design, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Completing the XS4 2.0 product line, it features the same sleek and elegant design as the XS4 Mini electronic short escutcheon and XS4 2.0 wall readers.

Versatility is one of the most prominent trademarks of SALTO's access solutions, and the XS4 One integrates seamlessly here. The electronic escutcheon is available in various models, e. g. with or without cylinder cuttings, mechanical or electronic privacy function and mechanical override. It is compatible with a wide range of mortise locks and door handles, including from third-party manufacturers. With different reader colours (white and black) as well as different finishes of the body, it can be adapted to the respective interior design of the user.

With its intelligent product design, the XS4 One offers more functionalities in less space. It is equipped with a faster processor and larger internal memory, which significantly reduces the read/write times for data exchange between ID credentials and the escutcheon. Parallel to the electronics, SALTO has also upgraded the mechanics decisively. The most striking feature is the larger handle angle of 45 degrees, which enhances compatibility with mortise locks and door standards. Furthermore, SALTO remains true to using only high quality materials and as few components as possible, which results in durability and longevity of the products. Thanks to its robust construction, the electronic escutcheon is therefore suitable not only for standard doors but also for access points with high intensity of use.

The XS4 One is designed for communication via RFID and Bluetooth (BLE). Thanks to Bluetooth, users can use their smartphone as a key. For this purpose, JustIN Mobile technology is used for mobile access via smartphone using BLE. The XS4 One also works with SALTO BLUEnet for wire-free networking with online functionalities and the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) with patented read-write data-on-card technology and encrypted data transmission. MIFARE Classic, DESFire EV1 and others are available as identification technologies. The escutcheon is compatible with DIN, Euro and narrow mortise locks and is suitable for door thicknesses from 32 to 120 mm. It is designed for an operating temperature of -20 to +50 °C outside and +5 to +50 °C inside. One set of batteries lasts for 40,000 to 60,000 openings. In the wireless version, a door status detector is available as an option. All communication with the escutcheon is encrypted.
