Seaside Pavilion perches on the edge of woods and beach at Bohai Sea as a reception space. Architects renovated the original building and added various areas for reading, tea, meditation, dining, and resting. The office building is surrounded by a full-grown birch forest, which served as the inspiration for our bureau when searching for an architectural style. The inversion of the natural environment was used as an artistic technique. A dark volume of the building appears against the background of smooth white birch trunks. In contrast to the lower part of the birch trunks covered with black rough bark, a light fragile facade of structural glazing was formed. The form of the building was given by its function. On a beautiful forest plot on the outskirts of Hilversum, this modern bungalow is hidden among the tall trees. With its simplicity of clear lines, the design contrasts nicely with the surrounding landscape. The forest runs right up to the facade, putting one in direct contact with the surroundings. The large glass surfaces make you feel being part of nature, where the large overhangs give a sense of privacy. The lighting that we implemented for Emily Resort made an exciting object - a forest doubled in the mirror of the lake, which is observed by hotel residents throughout the evening and night from all rooms, from the restaurant and terrace, as well as from along the embankment from the hotel and events hall With light, we emphasized a living corner of nature that you want to contemplate even more.This forest is perceived both on a macro scale from the opposite shore of the lake and locally, walking along the embankment when you see all its details. Our project lies in the raw massif; and is accompanied by forests, rivers, precious wild creatures. This care home in the small municipality of Zoersel was designed on the initiative of a private client. They set up a partnership with non-profit organisation Emmaus to develop a residential project for the family’s granddaughter and eight other residents with a mental disability. The property is located right on the edge of the forest. The main challenge was to integrate the building into the existing natural surroundings creating an ideal connection to the woods. Therefore this project was inspired by nature. Despite its location close to the city, it is particularly influenced by the nearby forest.  Caption The tranquillity, the green of the trees and the chirping of the birds are part of everyday life here. The aim of the dining club is to experience the forest that is next to the site by the shore. The first thing is to deal with the relationship between the building and the nature: by doing this we let the building in contact with the forest from three sides, which then divides the volume into three units with trees planted in between, therefore the building intersects with the forest in a harmonious way and the range of scenery viewing is maximized. The three major units are connected by a circulation block facing the community. Glass curtain walls are applied at the forest-facing facade. De Boschvijver is an unbended restaurant located in the middle of a breathtaking forest. The circular shape of the building refer to the shape of the trees and was furnished with Modular's best selling Duell. The new building for the DZNE, where the similarities and differences of various brain diseases are studied, is located on the southern edge of University Hospital’s Venusberg Campus in Bonn. With a usable floor area of approximately 16,000 square meters, the DZNE provides optimal scientific conditions for an international team of more than 500 employees and visiting researchers.The building volume is divided into three distinctive, organically shaped individual buildings.
