Haus W

In the family there are 2 people in a wheelchair. A passenger elevator is therefore indispensable - the challenge when planning a house on a slope was nevertheless to create a large connection from the inside to the outside on every level so that all residents could experience nature accordingly. The internal clock controls hormones (serotonin and melatonin), which are responsible for our daily activation. Sunshine and brightness stimulate the production of serotonin, which increases the driving force and influences our well-being. The Bartenbach company has developed a lighting concept in which the light color changes from yellow to white and back again. In order to use the property several times, spacious terraces were created and the r... More

Lebensraum

No new construction, but the adaptation of the existing warehouses saves resources and thus fits into the existing building structure. The new retracted areas thus compress the area inwards without enlarging the building envelope. The converted warehouses are supplied by a fresh air system in order to make the working atmosphere as pleasant as possible and to prevent signs of fatigue due to lack of oxygen. This increases safety in the workplace and thus protects health several times. More

Atelier F

Like the goods that are offered in the store - most of them were produced in Austria and made from local materials - the new interior was also designed with a focus on the region. This means that handwork is not only found in the clothing, but also in the design details of the sales and office space and inspires the designers working there. Bringing as much daylight as possible into the existing building structure was a basic prerequisite for increasing the working atmosphere. The dining area with attached kitchen and a view of the Kitzbühler Ache as well as the daily freshly prepared menus by the top chefs Christine follow this principle. Only the integrated photo studio, for the photos of homemade fashion, has no daylight to profess... More

Tischlerei G

More

Haus B

The clients approached the Architect of their choice with a „set idea“ of how their new family home in Kitzbuehel should look like. The client’s design was gratefully accepted, studied and also queried. Such a „client conception“ is naturally extremely valuable, more so than a written, composed room allocation plan. It reveals the desire for particular room sequences and proportions, as well as preferences regarding space combinations. This idea was therefore handled with great respect, however it was employed as the starting point for an exciting design phase. Bereits mit einer „fixen Idee“, wie ihr neues Einfamilienhaus in Kitzbühel aussehen sollte, kamen die Bauherren zu den Architekten ihres Vertrauens. Der Entwurf der Bauher... More

Seilbahn K

This design deals with the conception and realisation of a ski-region infrastructure building. The design and its stylistic elements do not imitate the great pioneers and role models of the early 1920’s (Baumann, Welzenbacher), however a relationship has been created. The integration between the natural landscape and the building profile was adopted, re-created and combined in order to shape the movement or motion lines of pedestrians, cars, buses, skiers and the gondola itself. The building periphery curves along the roadside and rotates in the direction of the gondola, creating a visible association between the existing transport routes. An essential link which interacts with the location creating an infrastructural center in the interest... More

Aurach in Kitzbuehel is located within the Kitzbueheler Alps at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. Through various „Workshops“ with the client, Hans Gasteiger, the Architects developed a master plan which not only re-defined the sales strategie but also the interior and exterior appearance. A glass cube forms the ground floor. The surface exterior of the first level is decorated with dark „Mirage-Panels“. The biggest challenge for the Architects was to optically downplay and distract attention from the nearby thoroughfare and neighbouring buildings. http://www.gasteiger-bad.at Aurach bei Kitzbühel liegt in den Kitzbüheler Alpen und dem Wilden Kaiser zu füssen. Der Auftraggeber Hans Gasteiger hat mit den Architekten in... More

Once a family of tanners, today the Frauenschuh family clothes not only fashion enthusiasts but also their new premises in „Kitz“ with their stylish natural materials. Buckskin walls, fabrics from their own range, custom designed lighting effects and oak flooring brought about by a modern and tradition-conscious transformation, provide the „stage“ for the leading actor – their own fashion collection. The stage concept is emphasised through the use of curtains, theater lighting, wall paintings and a video wall. These elements enable a relatively quick and easy visible transformation of the premises without the need for construction work. Similar to a real theater stage, the lighting is directed towards the „leading actor“ in order to obt... More

Bank VT

This proud city mansion built around the end of the 19th century has been a jewel of the Kitzbuehel inner city since its early days. Many neighbouring buildings have had to surrender to progress or have been rebuilt. Villa Tagwerker however, remained unchanged and reminds us of those long forgotten days. Conserving the charm of the „old lady“ was of upmost importance and paramount during the planning and execution of this project. Die stolze Stadtvilla aus dem Ende des 19. Jahrhundert ist schon seit ihren Jugendtagen ein Schmuck für den Kitzbüheler Stadtkern. So manches Nachbargebäude musste dem Fortschritt weichen oder wurde umgebaut. Einzig die Villa Tagwerker blieb unverändert und erinnert an eine längst vergangene Zeit. Der Ch... More

Haus H

A break away from the Castle These clients spend their day to day life in a castle and in addition felt the need for something modern. A simple cube – ideally, all white – lots of light and space, minimal stylistic elements, wooden flooring with underfloor heating, generous but not oversized spaces in order to be able to fill each room with life and above all warmth. A garden which can also be experienced from within, and a functional layout. A modern villa emerged including generous windows and sliding glass doors. From the interior one looks out over the garden with its pool and terrace towards the historical city view of Kitzbuehel or at the Hahnenkamm mountain with its famous „Streif“ downhill ski race course.
