Stradivarius Headquarters

Batlleiroig as Architects

The new Headquarters of Stradivarius is located in the Alba Park of Cerdanyola del Vallès, one of the most important centers of economic activity in the metropolis of Barcelona.

The buildingconsists of 33,000 sq. m of offices that are developed over 3 levels with a ground floor made up of parking spaces with capacity for 287 vehicles. The work spaces are flooded with natural light and are spaciously high measuring 4.5 meters in height in some areas.

The comfort of the work spaces of the 300 employees in the building is ensured by centralised demotic systems that control light and climate. In the work areas, particular attention has been paid to acoustic comfort and to the interior finishes by combining light tones with the natural textures of wood. The work spaces are complemented by rest areas that have outdoor terraces and a corporate dining room with a doorway to the garden and the gymnasium, all with the aim of promoting people’s wellbeing during their working day.

Sustainability is behind the design of façades that are characterised by an interactive system of vertical white slats which, in addition to offering an attractive, singular image, ensure the valuable functionalities of guaranteeing energy efficiency and reducing consumption by means of automatic management systems.

Native low-water-use vegetation is integrated into the outdoor spaces surrounding the building and into the sequence of inner courtyards and the main entrance foyer, like a green cascade. Irrigation draws on a reused rainwater system that is also harnessed for the toilets, allowing a 45% saving of water for these uses.

The reduction of water consumption, the selection of recyclable materials while keeping in mind their proximities and connecting to the District-Heation network enables the building to become LEED certified.
