The overarching design inspiration since the project's inception was affordable fashion accessible to everyone and creative self-expression—core values and missions of the brand. While this concept evokes diversity in colors and textures, each office space was designed with a certain austerity and elegance through a white-on-white experience (also echoing the brand's iconic logo and bags). This presented a significant challenge: translating SHEIN's multifunctionality through minimal visual information.
Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a contemporary and versatile space, ideal for hosting influencers and public figures from the fashion industry. Upon entering, a curved counter stands before a three-dimensional "SHEIN" logo in black acrylic, against a white wall, white floor, and a black ceiling with strategic lighting. This is complemented by the rich tones of the clothing pieces on the racks and the interplay of shapes throughout the office, creating a diverse experience for employees.
One of the architectural office's concerns was to incorporate fashion elements into the project in a non-literal manner and also to emphasize sustainability. Thus, a lively and dynamic curtain made of rectangles in various colors, crafted from textile industry waste (recycled buttons and jeans by the RatoRoi company), welcomes those in the entrance lounge.
In homage to SHEIN's popularity, fueled in part by social media, the staff area features numerous Instagram-worthy spots. These include the curved acoustic ceiling, individual booths with patterned wallpapers, and a spacious pantry offering a balanced mix of stadium-style and café-style seating.
An elegant marble-topped bar counter with ribbed wood panels anchors the pantry area. The outdoor-furnished balcony is strategically positioned to offer views of the treetops on the 3rd floor of R. Prof. AtílioInnocenti and Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima on the 8th floor. The entire space was designed to be simple yet flexible. Transparent glass doors and suspended acoustic panels delineate meeting rooms and office spaces, ensuring that natural light permeates the entire office while maintaining visual connectivity between different areas.
Conference and meeting rooms are all conveniently located in the reception area for easy access by both visitors and staff. The staff area is a multifunctional space where the team can engage in discussions and share ideas through informal corporate furnishings.
