Built in 2016, RPC Trelleborg is a modern center for forensic psychiatry located in Scania, Sweden. The building represents the forefront of green building, achieving Sweden’s Green Building Council’s gold-level rating (the highest rating in Sweden). With high standards to be met, a ceiling from Knauf Danoline was the perfect choice as all Danoline solutions are up to 99% recyclable.
In addition to providing highly specialized psychiatric treatment, the center also houses education and research facilities. Acoustics therefore needed to be top-class. Equipped with an acoustic Danoline ceiling, the RPC building has a classic and highly robust ceiling, ensuring great acoustics and a high level of indoor comfort for both patients and staff.
The RPC is Sweden’s largest plus energy building, which means that it produces more energy than it consumes. The energy it produces comes from renewable sources – mainly wind and solar power.
