The idea of setting up a bar in the pre-revolutionary building of the former Ryabovskaya manufactory came to the clients for a reason - their advertising agency is located in the same business center. After moving to a new office, they felt the lack of good places to eat in the Tulskaya metro district. So the wine gastrobar with a democratic character was designed as a place for every day.
The style of the restaurant strives for minimalism - the interior is built primarily on a combination of colors and textures. The architects' goal was to preserve the industrial heritage as much as possible. The brickwork, including in the Monnier ceiling vaults, with its imperfections, became the main accent in the interior thanks to a new bold dark green color.
The deep dark green color has become dominant in the space, even enveloping. This creates a sense of intimacy and depth, as if the visitor were inside a wine bottle. The interiors of the restaurant and bar share the same style, but differ in details. For example, the flooring in the bar is more colorful to create a dynamic mood.
In the center of the bar is an island for wine tastings and receptions at private events, which is also the compositional basis of the interior.
Lighting throughout the space is intentionally subdued to create a more intimate and inviting atmosphere that emphasizes the spirit of the factory. Contour lighting was therefore installed along the perimeter of the entire restaurant. It provides even illumination, and the flow of light from bottom to top emphasizes the unevenness of the brickwork and visually enlarges the space.
Unusual case:
During dismantling, a cast-iron column from the early XX century was discovered, which was not recorded in any of the manufactory's plans. Thus, the project had to be adjusted right during construction.
Unusual object:
The idea of placing an art object in the form of a lamp above the dining table emerged at an early stage of the project discussion. For the implementation, the artist Natalya Stolberg was called in, who offered to cut off the bottom of the bottles and paint them with matte black paint. When the light was turned on, an interesting effect was created - the patches of paint created a mystical image.
