Amazon Regional Observatory (ORA) project for OTCA (Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization)
The ORA project is located at the OTCA headquarters and constitutes the heart of the institution, where exhibitions, lectures, plenary sessions and other cultural events take place. ORA monitors, researches and promotes activities related to the Amazon region and all its biodiversity.
The space opens onto one of the city's main avenues, via W3 Norte, from where the geometric design used in its lighting can be seen from the street, which refers to graphics from Brazilian indigenous peoples and elements of nature.
To control western sunlight and mitigate external noise, a vertical garden system was used, in addition to automated thermoacoustic shutters.
