FADD Architects as Architects

In the heart of the Chiaia district, the renowned Calabritto street welcomes the new headquarters of Officine Napoli, a boutique offering clothing and footwear, nestled in a street historically permeated by high-end tailoring shops and luxury fashion brands.

The project draws inspiration from the rich history of the location and the distinctive personality of the brand, elegantly blending classic forms with contemporary materials.

Within a two-level building, the ground floor hosts a gallery approximately twenty meters long with barrel vaults, dedicated to men's fashion, while the lower floor houses the section dedicated to women. The entrance, with its facade reminiscent of traditional English shop windows, lacquered in a bold blue, exudes a sense of modernity without losing its intrinsic elegance.

Upon crossing the threshold, the shop window transforms into a continuous furnishing element, enveloping and defining the exhibition space, introducing color into every detail. The neutral-toned resin floor enhances the display, while the vault covered in Danish Petersen bricks adds a touch of authenticity. To amplify the sense of spaciousness, the two short sides are mirrored, creating the illusion of an infinite gallery.

The blue staircase invites visitors to descend to the lower floor, where a long mirrored wall expands the space, contrasting with the brick wall that features lightweight steel shelves. The path leads to a more intimate and welcoming space, characterized by wooden paneling and a steel piece of furniture. A shopping experience that unfolds with elegance and harmony in every detail.

The meticulous selection of materials reflects a deliberate effort to create a harmonious dialogue between architectural elements and the exhibited products. The result is an atmosphere that captures the essence of the contemporary gentleman, blending style and sophistication in perfect balance.
