This was a renovation of a townhouse that Barack Obama lived in shortly after he graduated from Columbia University. The goal was to lighten up and modernize the interiors of this classic brownstone through simple, cost effective updates.
We added new, dynamic, hexagonal tiles and lighter Dekton countertops at the garden level kitchen that contrast perfectly with the rich cherry wood of the cabinetry. In the upstairs bathroom, we added a spa-style shower and freestanding tub, in a "wet-room" concept. A custom mosaic adorns the floor, and the rainfall shower with brass fixtures create a luxury bathing experience.
