New primary school "Gianni Rodari) with Oda_Associati – Remo Dorigati/Massimo Bossaglia

PBeB Paolo Belloni Architetti as Architects

Set in an urban context characterized by the presence of numerous public services of interest, the project defines a clear boundary towards the street and a greater openness and integration with the greenery and open spaces inside the lot. The wall that delimits the school complex assumes the role of a fence, but also of a façade.

The wall-building becomes the backbone of the system, structured into 3 functional bands:

The first band contains laboratories and special classrooms, meeting spaces for teachers and parents, and the infirmary. These spaces receive light and ventilation from a series of patios that can be transformed into teaching spaces, gardens, or protected areas for outdoor activities.

The second band contains the service part of the building, toilets, and storage areas to support the laboratories and the school.

The third band functions as a general distribution with a movement that creates spaces for meetings, exhibitions, and waiting. A sort of gallery-path.

Directly connected to the primary school, a building dedicated to the activities of the "Enhanced School" has been created, which aims to provide an integration service and a knowledge and training path for severely disabled individuals.
