The Museum is located in the building of the Art Palace in Cremona. The Violin Museum is a museum of and for the future, is the museum that tells the fascination of a magical tool, mysterious and alluring. An active, partecipated, exciting and engaging museum, born to bring together under one roof the best of the expression "Cremona violin-making". It's mostly know for its collection of string instruments which includes violins, violas, cellos and double basses of renowned violin makers, including Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù.
