The 6 apartments were divided into two volumes to give the project scale. The two structures were placed at right angles to each other and aligned with the valley. The free space between them loosens up the structure optically and allows a view over the Rhine Valley. The topographical conditions allowed the buildings to be moved underground by one storey. Viewed from the street, the building conveys a sense of restrait, while all the apartments benefit from the view to the south-west. The two buildings are connected to form a unit by an underground car park.

This is accessed by a car lift, which enables subtle accessibility and appears as the first volume on the street side. A gate situation forms with the tool shed, which defines the beginning of the entire system. In addition, there is a paved forecourt outside, a seating area and a garden connection on the valley side. All floors have spacious verandas.

These open completely to the valley side and offer views and shade at the same time. The glass facades meander along the verandas, creating corridors and spacious seating areas. Due to their shape, they also zone the interior. Additional, more closed balconies are selectevly integrated into the floor plans. The meandering structure forms the exterior as well as the interior.

The living and dining rooms are open and attached to the verandas. All other rooms are more intimare in size and are separated by interir walls an floor-to-ceiling closet fronts.
