SAVICKIE as Interior Architects

A couple, who had traveled a lot and lived in America, came to us with yhe task to create their apartment.

The customers’ lifestyle and observation could not but affect the color scheme and mood of the future interior. The references showed creative freedom, cheerful palettes, airiness and fluidity.

Our task was to create a space outside of time and a certain style. We delicately took into account the life experiences of customers, using soft strokes to create a space for a quiet life - a safe haven. At the same time, took into consideration the couple’s temperament: a very active lifestyle, an incredible positive outlook on things.

We were very impressed by the sincere nature of our customers: their love of life, their ability to see clearly and purely like a child, and the wisdom of their years. Therefore, the concept was based on a “light”, positive fluid space, melting in the light of the Moon color scheme with notes and undertones, iridescence of light and highlights, in some places divorced from earthly forms.

When designing, we remembered that visual contact with the interlocutor during cooking is important for the customer. This is how a very functional kitchen peninsula with bar stools was born. Interesting conversations in this part of the apartment are guaranteed.

The common space of the living room and kitchen is also determined by the lifestyle of the customers; they like to receive guests, communicate a lot, and gather for culinary evenings in a relaxed atmosphere. Therefore, in the living room there is a large, cozy Danish sofa where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding space. On the shelves are books about travel, part of the Swarovski collection, which the customer has been collecting for many years from her trips. Here you can spend hours, immersed in memories of past travels and dreaming of future ones, listening to the album Moonflower by Carlos Santana.

Nature itself always serves as inspiration for us. Each person reflects a certain color palette with their energy. If customers are ready to open up, then reading these colors becomes very easy and the project goes straight to the heart. When space is created for a couple, for a family, a whole symphony of color and light is created. This is always an interesting and unique process. That’s why all our projects are so different in mood.

Considering the many gray days in Belarus and frequent rains, we decided to use many complex but cheerful shades, reminiscent of the spring awakening of mysterious and delicate lunar flowers and southern countries. Of course, the finishing materials, originally from warm Spain, helped with this, making friendship with local materials.

The moon flower is very symbolic in this project. Originally from America (where the customer lived for many years), it became a single image that gathered around itself - color, meaning, lightness, and melody.

Enveloping shades and tactile matte flooring materials encourage walking on them barefoot. They are transported us to a flower garden, where you immediately feel a light breeze and the rustling of petals. Rounded shapes, natural materials, tactile - all this is so important for the kinesthetic.

The smooth shapes of the upholstered furniture are ideally complemented by calligraphic painting from Valeria Kaplan, which carries its own meaning for customers.

Round glass blocks refract the light in a very mysterious way in the laundry room.
3D panels on the wall in the living room give a reference to the lunar craters of the Moon, which, with its glow, allows the lunar flower to open.

We are glad that we were able to make the customers’ dream come true and create a space that became a quiet safe haven. A home is not only a roof over your head, but also a place where you can feel happy and free, where you can enjoy every moment of life.
