The project is located near the center of Stockem, on the outskirts of the city of Eupen.
The entire site was cleaned up thanks to the dismantling of the existing hangars and extensions as well as the demolishing of large concrete surfaces on the ground.
The project’s implantation is inspired by the local typology and is formed with two separated and out of alignment volumes.
The volumes are in harmony with the surrounding constructions.
The project includes 20 dwellings, this density comes from the situation and the land area.
In order to promote diversity, the project includes 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms dwellings which are all crossing apartments. The spaces thus benefit from optimal exposure with the living rooms to the South and the corridors and bedrooms to the North.
Local materials with colors in harmony with the environment are used for the facades.
The architecture is integrated into the natural landscape (location, topography, pond, vegetation, etc.).
The surroundings are made with many green and permeable surfaces as well as a large quantity of vegetation (trees, hedges, ...).
Particular attention has been paid to soft mobility via connections with pedestrian and bicycle paths to the city center, indoor bicycle parking, covered outdoor bicycle parking, etc.
