Lenticular for Euramax Competition

Lenticular for Euramax Competition

Aerde Borgert Architecten as Architects

The factory building of the companyEuramax is located in a normal industrial area in Roermond, the Netherlands. The factory building has a typical representation which has a length of ca. 60 meter and a width of ca. 25 meter. The 200 square meter façade of the building currently does currently not represent the company profile.

For the design of the new façade the concept of ‘lenticulair’ is introduced, which means that the appearance of the façade changes depending on the view angle. The changing of the façade represents the innovation and technological development of the company Euramax.

The façade consists out of different aluminium gradient coloured panels. The name and logo of the company are printed in AluGlow on the backside of the panels, so the view on the façade in the evening is also attractive en representative. If the view angle increases, the name and logo slowly "disappear" into the color palette. The elevation attracts and makes people curious to go inside the building and walk around. This lenticulair façade system makes a 3D façade possible with 2D printing techniques.
