Kokako’s new flaship store in the Commercial Bay precinct in Downtown Auckland, delivers a unique experience for customers to truely engage with the art of coffee making.
The design of the space echos the brands core values of sustainability and expertise. The bar itself is made up of 8000 x recycled milk bottles and takes up the majority of the tenancy, acting as a gallery for coffee and a stage for the talented baristas to craft a specialised coffee drinking experience. The overall aesthetic follows a timeless mid century inspired design, pared back to allow the function of the interior to take centre stage.
The typical café layout is flipped, where the bar takes up the majority of the space and extends right out to the edge of the tenancy line with a narrow, intimate seating space nestled in the back – a perfect place to immerse yourself and get some escapism from the busy mall.
Features in store include a do-it-yourself keep-cup rinser, 4-tap dispenser serving kombucha and other delights and an optional self service till amongst all other specialty coffee equipment.
