Intcomex is a leading platform of value-added solutions and technology products in Latin America and the Caribbean. For the Costa Rican offices, the company needed to expand the work space in an adjacent and connecting 600 square meter warehouse.
The design team studied Intcomex needs and collaborated together to create an efficient and harmonious working environment and flow. With their forward minded approach to business, they wanted the new space to be multifunctional, playful, with open spaces for work and social gatherings and private spaces for larger group meetings.
The warehouse has an inherent industrial look, which we took advantage and highlighted the exposed metal structure and the natural concrete floor. Taking advantage ofthe ceiling height, the HVAC system is also exposed. In contrast, we used a rich local hard wood, which would become a vital design aspect that runs throughout the space and furniture.
Material Used :
1. Interior wall cladding - local Laurel wood.
2. White washed brick.
3. Polished concrete flooring.
4. Furniture design: local laurel wood and metallic supporting structure.
