At the end of the Müllerpier, near the Lloydkwartier and the Euromast, a sturdy and open family house was built – in the framework of the self-build project Create @ Müllerpier – on a beautiful location on the Maas with an unobstructed view over the water. Based on a few regulations prepared by supervisor KCAP, which included a garage for 2 cars as a condition, a split-level house was designed that focuses on the Maas and the quay as possible.
Due to the open design of the steel staircase, the split level that continues here and the transparent fall-through protection, there are endless lines of sight in the upper part of the house.
The materials used in the house are pure: the base is white and the concrete is left in sight. The stairs are either white or solid, clear lacquered steel. All wet areas are tiled with different colors of Bisazza tiles, but because these spaces are (usually) behind closed, white doors, it never gets too much. Cabinets are tailor-made for the house and executed in Polish Pine or colored MDF.
