The request was to have a large living area and rooms with specific functions. The client is a collector of old paintings, so the project has tried to enhance the works through some choices. In particular, a special finish was chosen for the walls, while to solve the need to have many paintings and be able to change, move or arrange them differently, it was an ad hoc system was created. In fact, in the upper part of the walls a black painted band has been created which hides, in addition to the air conditioning system diffusers, rails with hooks to suspend the paintings without ever having to drill holes in the walls.

The focal point is the ceiling, made with a special lime finish, for which a color inspired by the Renaissance architecture of the Ca' Granda was chosen. All the shades and materials chosen have warm and natural tones.

Ceilings and walls were finished with completely natural lime paint with naturePlus certification, (Calce del Brenta) both on the walls and the red ceiling in the living room.

Some aesthetic references are certain colors of Renaissance architecture such as the ceiling, precisely or the gray of the lime walls, the terracotta of the master bathroom or the cleanliness of the spaces delimited by different and precise colors.

Then there are more contemporary references that look to Italian rationalist architecture in particular to the interiors of Franco Albini and his mastery in exhibiting works of art inside private houses where iron, brick and plaster coexisted in perfect balance. The black mark (like a beam) which divides the red ceiling from the walls is a reference to all of this.
