We are in the centre of Milan, next to the prestigious area of Arco della Pace. All renovations start from a need of the family who lives the spaces, in this case, a walk-in closet in the master bedroom was the occasion for redefining the layout of the house, in which the kitchen was moved in the large living room with a suggestive solution. The walk-in closet has been 'hidden' inside an existing wardrobe, two doors of which become 'the door' for the new secret room. From a formal point of view, the apartment turns out to be sober and elegant, relating to its historical context of the early 1900s, remaining in balance between it and a contemporary conceptual approach, where the industrial Wenge floor and the shades of grey on the vertical facings give continuity and coherence to the whole intervention in which stands the total Black kitchen in contrast with Fornasetti's patterned wallpaper.
