Foshan Country Garden International Commerce Centre is located in Shunde’s Chen Cun Town, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta and within the Guangzhou-Foshan metropolitan area, which is an important node in the urban development pattern. The project takes the TOD+ model as the skeleton, relies on the rail hub, and takes the future cloud city as its theme, positioning it as a landmark city complex, accommodating a variety of businesses, efficiently aggregating urban living spaces, and creating a utopian high-rise luxury life that “rises to the sky and reaches the firmament”.
【Design Concept】
The design takes “clouds” as the main element of the site, extracting elements of cloud curves, cloud stacking, terraces, mountains and valleys into the landscape, creating a rich landscape experience level and the feeling of flowing water and clouds in the park. The modern and fashionable design incorporates the mountains and rivers into the landscape to create a modern, elegant, multi-faceted, ecological, high-end, intelligent and ideal living city complex.
Inspired by Fugue structure of Rhapsody, which is the representative form of polyphony structure in Baroque period. The demonstration area integrates into the landscape through refining the framework of Fugue. It forms the landscape structure of prelude, progressive, climax, interlude and ending. Created the multiple atmosphere of happiness, relaxation, gorgeous, elegant and ethereal in Rhapsody by means of the opening and closing of space, the form and material of construction, and the planting of vegetation.
【Prelude: walking on clouds】
The curved feature wall is like a melodious cloud road sweeping across the sky, transparent and suggestive, sounding the happy prelude of the cloud invitation to welcome the guests. Mirror stainless steel texture elegant and modern, full of water features reflecting the scenery wall, light and shadow silent flow, leaving a song murmuring spring sound guide people forward. In the twist of running clouds and flowing water, atmospheric and elegant architecture slowly into sight.
The main entrance plaza is paved with dark stone, laying the space “tune”, accompanied by a deep and penetrating prelude sound, making people feel like stepping into the sky. The open plaza releases the architectural heritage, low-key luxury and elegance, attracting crowds to gather.
【Go forward: three dragons converge】
The water is the solidified clear clouds, and the gushing spring and falling water strike a light and dynamic beat, leading to the fugue’s melodious progression. The minimalist mirror water feature and the glass curtain wall on the side of the sales office form a fusion of indoor and outdoor spaces, which are mutually contrasting; the light and shadow change, and the virtual and real are staggered and reflect each other.
The “Sanlonghui” sculpture is a symbol of the three dragons gathering in the site, which implies the flying dragon welcoming the guests. The monolithic and staggered convergence, with fluent and minimalist lines echoing the cloud dynamics, together with the deep and restrained mirror water, one moving and one static, ethereal rhythm and unique artistic temperament, creating a strong spatial spirit and landscape imagery.
【Melody: adventure in the sky】
Entering the flagship store, you will climb up to the roof garden in the clouds and enter a leisure space with a strong sense of art. The design continues the language of “clouds”, creating a cloud garden experience space with a strong sense of flow and art in a small and large scale, weaving together the flowing notes of the main theme.
The mirrored corridor resembles a cloud in the sky, and the teardrop-shaped sculpture is like a long shot of rainwater dripping from clouds, and the colorful and distinctive vegetation welcoming the rain. The mirror material reflects the natural gesture, visitors walking in it, as if walking into a wonderful jungle, bringing the dramatic experience of changing scenery, staggering real and virtual, changing light and shadow.
In the corner of the clouds, there are flowers waiting to bloom. The resting pavilion is inspired by rose buds, and the shape of the gallery is a flower in full bloom, and the “flowers” are wrapped and separated by rich vegetation, creating a certain sense of privacy in the public space, where you can enjoy a unique and exclusive experience.
