POLYGROUP drives FIFA Museum's transformation with its GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 system

Polygroup as Manufacturers

Polygroup, a leader in the manufacture of raised access floors, has been involved in the remodeling project of the first floor of the FIFA Museum in Zurich. By installing GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 raised access floors with ceramic finish, Polygroup has contributed to the transformation of this space into a multifunctional environment designed to host temporary exhibitions and other museum experiences.

The first temporary exhibition on the new floor, titled "211 Cultures. One Game," offers visitors an interactive journey through 211 iconic objects, with large-format and interactive audiovisual installations to immerse themselves in the excitement of sports. This project was carried out in collaboration with Mediapro Exhibitions, who were responsible for the comprehensive remodeling of the museum's 750 square meters on the first floor, including the design and production of this new space.

One of the highlights of the renovation is the unique installation that presides over the "Welcome Area": a 20-meter LED screen composed of rotating panels that display audiovisual content from temporary exhibitions and the museum itself.

The latest technology in raised access floors for an innovative installation

Polygroup has supplied and installed its product GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 with a ceramic finish, a raised access floor system composed of tiles with a high-density chipboard core and steel on its underside, providing fire, moisture, and external factors protection. This raised access floor system is versatile and adapts to the needs of modular construction and technological building.

The ceramic finish of the tiles provides exceptional technical features and outstanding durability over time. The choice of these GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 raised access floors has been essential to ensure the aesthetics and functionality of the building, offering an innovative and secure solution for the FIFA Museum.

Moritz Ansorge, Director of Exhibitions and Heritage at the FIFA Museum, expressed his enthusiasm for the opening of the "211" exhibition, the first to be held in the newly transformed space on the first floor. Ansorge emphasized that this renovation will allow the museum to offer exceptional temporary exhibitions, guest exhibitions, and other museum experiences.

Polygroup's ceramic raised access floor system not only provides innovative design but also outstanding technical features. The 10 mm thick porcelain finish is assembled directly at Polygroup's production centers through a thermo-fusion process, ensuring a solid and lasting bond between the tile's core and the ceramic stone. Additionally, an intermediate acoustic membrane can be added to absorb irregularities and provide a comfortable step with superior acoustic properties.

Polygroup is proud to have contributed to a significant remodeling project for the FIFA Museum, an iconic place that houses the history, heritage, and culture of world football. The GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 raised access floors with ceramic finish are a testament to the innovation and durability that Polygroup offers to its customers.
