HAVER and BOECKER as Manufacturers

The architectural wire mesh facade, made from MULTI-BARRETTE 8158 acts as a sun protection screen as well as a fall protection guard.

The Exim Tower with its projecting wings dominates the skyline of Dar-Es-Salaam. From the terraces of this bank- and office building you can enjoy a direct view onto the Indian Ocean.

The wire mesh facade, made from MULTI-BARRETTE 8158 with a total surface area of appr. 2.300 m², acts as a sun protection screen as well as a fall protection guard. The large blue "Exim Tower" logo is mounted behind the wire mesh, while at night the mesh is illuminated with impressive lighting.

A special task was the installation of the 60 meter long, 4 meter wide and up to 2,5 tons heavy mesh panels. The mesh elements were factory pretensioned to account for the elongation of the vertical cables. Besids this an unrolling device and special construction tools were required for the installation.
