D.House

The family house in Huldenberg, also known as the ‘D-house’, was conceived as an architectural response on the uneven construction site. The project consists on spreading out the needed programme on three levels incorporating the following accommodations: four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open living space, a separated multi-media room, a storeroom and a bike-storeroom. The idea was to use the uneven construction site and to integrate, to incorporate the house in this difference of heights. By burring one floor of the house, the house became a compact volume. Unlikely to the closed front facade of the house, the back facade is completely transparent and gives a magnificent view, from the bedrooms and living space, on the garden and the environment.
