Classic & Contemporary Apartment

Lascia La Scia as Designers

Color as a trait d'union between classic and contemporary style in a private house in Milan.
The Pois series by Ritmonio in Black finish impresses with its class and elegance.

The reorganization of a 130 m2 flat in Milan to make the home more functional to the needs of an expanding family was the design challenge taken up by the LASCIAlaSCIA Architecture studio.

The rooms, which are very bright, have been completely renovated with new uses, optimizing the spaces in the kitchen - which now opens onto the living room thanks to a sliding door - and in the sleeping area. In this area in particular, two double bedrooms have been created, one of which – the master bedroom – with an en suite bathroom where the Pois series by Ritmonio has been inserted.

The designers' decision to preserve the early 1900s pieces already present by mixing them with contemporary furnishings, to enhance them, was a winning one. Furthermore, the chromatic choices were very important in creating a harmonious bond that precisely defined the contemporary classic character of the entire project.
The green colour in a very delicate sage tone is found, for example, in a low boiserie in contrast with the neutral colour of the walls, in some furnishing elements and in the floor covering of the living room. The parquet was instead laminated to remove the red effect and bring it to a softer shade consistent with the design standards.
The muffled atmosphere of the children's bedroom is particularly fascinating: pull-out beds and a cubic element that acts as a custom-designed container that acts as a corner create a comfortable environment in which to play safely.

Neutral and relaxing colours also for the master bedroom, where a mirror on the internal wall allows the contribution of natural light to the en suite bathroom. Precisely in this "wellness room", the Pois series by Ritmonio in the Black finish stands out decisively and with character on the glossy enamelled coating, also in this case green.

The configuration of the single-lever basin mixers and the shower taps in the shower area is versatile and elegant, without excesses. Furthermore, thanks to black, which is also found on the profiles of the box, the style becomes simple and classy at the same time.

In conclusion, choosing the design and functionality of Ritmonio taps means expanding the design possibilities of the bathroom environment, to respond to specific aesthetic and functional needs, fitting discreetly into the most diverse contexts.
