Vernacular architecture in a new scale

Chain + Siman as Architects

Hotel Avándaro, located in Valle de Bravo, integrates three types of users: guests, golf club members and convention groups. Although these users share many spaces, there was a need for a specific place for larger scale activities. This center was created as a solution to this programmatic need.

The Center, although integrated with the hotel, enjoys visual and sound privacy. In addition to four rooms of different sizes that have the possibility of integrating as a single space and together accommodate more than 200 people, different ways of generating meeting points were proposed. Thus, Centro Avándaro has an open-air amphitheater for conferences or concerts, as well as a large garden, a double-height lobby and a terrace. The variety of environments is adapted to different seating capacities, so that there are spaces suitable for everything from small business groups to seminars and conventions.

The red partition wall and the wooden ceilings that contrast with the intense green of the surrounding nature give the complex the cozy and homey atmosphere that characterizes Valle de Bravo. The design revolved around the creation of spaces with excellent acoustics and lighting to present itself as an ideal alternative for work events or celebrations.

In addition to having state-of-the-art technology to ensure user comfort and continuous efficient operation, hygiene stations were contemplated in the design and the impeccable ventilation of the spaces was prioritized as part of the sanitary measures adopted in recent years.
