The building of the center for artistic and aesthetic gymnastics is located in the promising residential area "Sunny" in Yekaterinburg, made up of separate residential blocks, reminiscent of the location of the Roman legions. The object will be part of the training cluster formed in the district. Other objects of educational and educational orientation will become neighbors of the gymnastics center.
In solving the image of the facades of the building, it was decided to abandon the curved forms stylized as the movement of a ribbon, ball or other objects of this sport in favor of an emotional perception of the performance of gymnasts.
The expression is conveyed by dynamic consoles above the main volume of the building and a number of thin columns that resemble birch trees under a gust of wind, the movement of air in the lamellae along the facade of the buildings.
The building became a bright accent in the middle of the rhythm of the dark mass of residential blocks with separate glowing windows and narrow strips of light on perpendicular streets, the center of attraction of attention, clearly visible for many hundreds of meters when driving along the adjacent highway, or along the pedestrian boulevard that permeates the entire area. The square in front of the object creates a public cultural space with exhibition and music venues, an outdoor walking area and street light installations. The pedestrian boulevard will become a central attraction for the residents of the area and a great place for walking.
