In this life-resistant home, all facilities are available on the ground floor. Extra spaces such as a workplace and an extra bedroom with bathroom on the first floor. Spatially, all functions are interconnected.
The architecture is modern, differs from the surrounding houses, but fits into the street by adopting the roof direction of the existing 1960s, 70s and 80s houses.
The living areas are connected to small outdoor spaces, so that light and contact with the gardens are everywhere. The clients wish was a house with a very low ecological footprint, a high level of comfort, energy plus. The house is built as a timber frame with wood fiber insulation, triple glazing in Finti wooden frames, heat recovery from the ventilation air and summer night cooling. The foundation and the ground floor consist of foam glass granules, a recyclable residual product from the glass industry with good insulating properties, and a solid hemp loam with a wooden floor. The inner walls are covered with clay plaster. The house is completely circular.
Heating, cooling, ventilating and hot water preparation is possible with a small all-in-one air-to-air heat pump without an outdoor unit. With 30 solar panels, there is still 3000 kWh left each year.
