Archeologika 2022
The event lasted 3 days and had 10,200 visitors in the 21 pavilions dedicated to over 55 international delegations, B2B meeting areas and a congress area with numerous interventions. as well as a catering area, for a total area of about 3000 square meters.

But what will attract the attention of visitors will be the abstract and conceptual sculptural installation called “Nuraghi Coloru”, that is, Snake Nuraghe.
Snake Nuraghe / “Nuraghi Coloru”
The first inspiration for the creation of the form came from the desire to “break” the volume and interior spaces of the covered walkway. A walk of large size but which in reality, given the perspective
view, seems to be divided into three sectors. The architect Sivan wanted to sew all three “naves” highlighting the third dimension, that is, the height of the stick space (the building is almost taller than
it is wide). Thinking about all this “I started walking three columns and right there I had the idea of creating a ribbon movement, like the wind and like the snake that comes out of the earth”, says the
architect.

The second step was inspired by the theme of archeology as a journey through time.
The Nuraghi a Serpente installation consists of 2000 empty cubic volumes / blocks of cardboard connected together as simply pieces of lego with tongue and groove joints that enclose three exhibition spaces for the host delegations.
During the initial phases we have already adopted the BIM (building information modelling) design techniques and also advanced parameterization and technological aspects called “parametric design” therefore with further use of mathematical algorithms that control every size, material and orientation and position of the over 2000 cubes to the different coloring of each element.

By adapting these numerical control technologies we will optimize the virtual model of the different installations, from manufacturing with sustainable and recyclable material such as cardboard and to optimizing raw materials and therefore minimizing manufacturing waste, thus reducing the impact of our installation and the entire event .

Furthermore, the sculptural installation “Nuraghe Coloru” was also designed in such a way that it could be disassembled and then reused in a future installation for sustainability objective that were strongly desired by the tourism councilor
