The Project arises from the contact with a property management startup for rentals, aiming to develop a short-stay and mid-stay apartment (short and medium-term rentals). The property was old, and the owner knew the need for a renovation to reintroduce it to the market.
The requirement was to revitalize the apartment and make it suitable for rental purposes while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that would make all potential tenants feel at home.
The challenge of this specific project was to create a design with personality yet impersonal, establishing spaces and sensations of comfort so that everyone could feel at home, even when away from home. We understood that the apartment's aesthetics should follow a neutral palette without losing the sophistication and personality of a minimalist design language. We aimed to combine aesthetics with efficiency, from reconfiguring the layout and designing custom cabinetry to selecting furniture and finishes.
Without a permanent resident, we envisioned different scenarios, so every step was planned to meet various needs. For instance, storage spaces were designed to be sufficient; in the suite, we replaced an existing closet with custom-made cabinetry, which also added to the room's spaciousness. Another example is the kitchen, which is less used by guests in this rental profile, so we designed it to be more compact and efficient.
