Apartment in Itaim, São Paulo, 196 m2

Paola Ribeiro Interiores as Interior Architects

The apartment was purchased, recently renovated, by a couple who live in Rio de Janeiro and spend part of the week working in São Paulo. In the living room, we complemented the carpentry panel on the TV and placed a marble top over the existing sideboard and dining table. The corner where today is a bar with carpentry for the wine cellar, was an office that had no purpose for the couple of residents. On the balcony, in addition to the glass enclosure, we changed the frame for the living room so that the space was more integrated with the living room, and we added a wooden deck and landscaping, bringing more coziness to the living room.

We changed the kitchen floor and built new joinery for the pantry, which received striped wallpaper and leather benches and chairs, giving it the feel of a lunch room. In the bathroom, the countertop was existing. We changed the floor, continuing the existing floor in the room in Tauari wood, and decorated it with wallpaper and mirror.

The bookshelf in the hallway that accesses the rooms accommodates the owner's pet objects, and makes up the space to receive the colorful painting by the artist Mucki, which the client loves.

In the bedroom hall, we created a large wardrobe with lacquer paneled doors, in the same tone as the paint on the walls.

In the master suite, we expanded the bedroom to the balcony, gaining more distance between the bed and the TV cabinet and a large acoustic window for more light to enter the room. The master bathroom has been completely renovated. The client wanted to have a soaking tub, but the bathroom was too small for that. We were able to move the toilet a little to the side and create a bathtub with an inclined back in Silestone Pearl Jasmine, the same used on the floor and countertop with a carved basin, a large niche in the same Portobello Gouache Brume ceramic that covers the walls and metals. from deca with Corten finish.

The decoration was designed in a very Rio atmosphere, with a neutral base in beige tones and specific natural colors and textures. Some pieces of furniture designed by Brazilian designers make up this cozy and elegant atmosphere.
