2000 Ocean

TEN Arquitectos as Architects

Located just north of South Florida's Golden Beach, this contemporary 40-story glass tower features panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the endless surrounding beaches. Boasting a prime beach location, and closer to the ocean than any of its neighbors, it is bathed in sunlight from sunrise to sunset. Sixty-four families will have the privilege of calling 2000 Ocean, a property that stands for prestige and quality, their home. Adding beauty and opulence to the Atlantic coast, there really is nothing else like that.

2000 Ocean is the result of a careful collaboration between TEN Arquitectos, Sasaki Associates, Minotti and Minotti Cucine, who raise the bar for luxury throughout the property. Collectively, their mission was to realize the vision of New York-based real estate developer KAR Properties, thereby setting a new standard for oceanfront living, designed to improve the lives of its residents.

TEN's clever design allows full-story and half-story homes privileged views of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, from sunrise to sunset. Working together, this unified team began by focusing on the natural environment. His energies were directed at strengthening the connections between the ocean, the landscape, and the human experience, ultimately creating a visceral sense of place. South Florida's subtropical ecology provides the lush backdrop, which unfolds in a long horizontal plane, from the artificial hum of South Ocean Drive to the natural currents of the Atlantic Ocean.

Presented with this duality, TEN Architects and Sasaki created a compelling and holistic vision for oceanfront life based on one fundamental principle: balance. Serene gardens, a sculpture park, and reflective pools are interspersed on the property's exteriors, providing tranquil counterpoints to the spectacular ocean views. Inside the elegant glass tower, the interior designs reflect the balance between night and day. Each floor has a private terrace facing the eastern sea and a private terrace facing the western garden, giving residents the chance to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean and set each day on the Intracoastal Waterway from the comfort of their own homes.
