Inspired by its environment, the Sighartstein nursery school fits in seamlessly into the green landscape, while at the same time leaving a distinctive mark. Oversized blades of grass adorn the façade of the nursery school as a characteristic design element. Bright, friendly green can be found everywhere throughout the building.
The experts from Aachen-based architects kadawittfeldarchitektur build on years of experience in the creation of public and institutional buildings. In Sighartstein, Austria, they have designed inspiring rooms in which the children can move around freely.
The modern design of the group, resting and work rooms and the multifunctional hall also allows them to rest and relax or to concentrate on their play. The aim is to make them feel at ease and to encourage and motivate them at the same time. The colour green contributes to the feeling of satisfaction and balance of the children. When planning the Sighartstein nursery school, great attention was paid to providing the kids with an environment in which they can grow up in balance and in accordance with their natural requirements.
The bathrooms and the draw-off points in the work rooms also maintain the balance between challenge and ease of operation. User-friendly GROHE Essence single-lever mixers on the wash basins and Atrio wall spouts on the wash troughs playfully show the children how to use water in the right way.
