Founded in 2013 by Sinan Tuncer and Oğuzhan Aydın in Istanbul Beyoğlu after the national architectural project competition they won, Lift is a production-oriented architectural practice built on an understanding that values the potential tension of the production process and the multidimensional space created by this tension. Lift pursues the meaning-context relationship arising from the site / space; rather than its physical existence, it follows an architecture that will maintain its value at all times and reproduce itself, and not by foreseeing a design from the beginning; it aims to reach a design with conditions, actors and possibilities. By multiplying conditions, actors and possibilities, by expanding the space of possibilities; trying to find interfaces where ideas, information and possibilities will discover each other, in different types and scales; Lift is an architectural organization that develops private, institutional and public architecture and urban design projects, aiming to discover and produce architectural and urban potentials through flexible research and design forms.
